Give Thanks…And Sing!

Here are our Top Five songs about gratitude.

Just in time for Thanksgiving!

Every year around this time, we all get into the mindset of gratitude. It’s more than just a turkey dinner or seeing your family once a year, it’s about being thankful for all that you have. And even if things aren’t the greatest, there is always something to be thankful for. Here at KAMU, we love a moment of gratitude, complete with a soundtrack to go with it. So here are our Top Five songs to give thanks. We’re thankful for them, but most of all, we’re thankful for you all.

Boyz II Men – “Thank You”
These legends from Philly really brought some soulful vibes to a celebratory song about gratitude. This ‘90s classic is a favorite to raise a glass and give thanks around your family table…or private karaoke suite.

Alanis Morrissette – “Thank U”

On this hit single, Alanis has a whole spiritual awakening set to the backdrop of her own self-reflections. The end result is pure gratefulness, with all of its flaws. It’s such a deep and human track, not to mention beautiful.

Fall Out Boy – “Thnks fr th Mmrs”

When the hook chants “Thanks for the memories,” it feels totally bittersweet. Fall Out Boy always has a way about them, where they can make any Pop-Rock song just hit you in a special way. This song makes you thankful for closure.

Dido – “Thank You”

Dido’s soothing vocals can calm any chaotic situation, but here it’s a song about writing your own little love letter with gratitude and grace. This song is like a hug in sonic form: it’s delicate and sweet, but also comforting.

Ariana Grande – “thank u, next”

One of the best things about Ariana Grande is her ability to evolve through anything. This track shows an appreciation for self-growth and accepting when to move on. It may not be the most conventional track of thanks, but it’s so confident and bold that it doesn’t even matter.
