It’s sometimes called “Sin City,” but Las Vegas is just full of magic. If you’ve been here (and we hope you have), then you’ll know that it’s the real city that never sleeps (sorry, New York). Here at any hour you can gamble, dance, grab a bite to eat, and of course, sing some karaoke. To honor KAMU’s favorite city, we’ve compiled a list of our Top Five songs about Las Vegas to sing at our venue. Some are new, some are classics, but they run the gamut of genres, so there’s truly something for everyone.
Elvis Presley – “Viva Las Vegas”
With all of the Elvis impersonators running around the Strip, not starting off with “Viva Las Vegas” would be a total crime. You know what else is a crime? Not showing up dressed as Elvis to sing this song. Give it a shot.
Katy Perry – “Waking Up In Vegas”
Calling all KatyCats! This one is a glammed out song about last night being a total blur. It’s such an appropriate Vegas song, since those who visit have spent many a blurry night hanging out. Here’s your soundtrack for those memories…or lack thereof.
AC/DC – “Sin City”
This one’s for the rock stars. You wanna sing your lungs out to the Sin City side of Vegas? Do it AC/DC style. It’s the only way to do it, really. This one goes hard in the suite, so be sure to sing it loud and super proud.
Faith Hill – “Let’s Go To Vegas”
For the Country fans, we haven’t forgotten about you. Faith Hill’s romantic Vegas song may have you wanting to walk down the aisle by the end of the night. And hey, if you do, then maybe Elvis can officiate the wedding. Anything can happen here.
Doja Cat – “Vegas”
Okay, we may be cheating with this one, since really it’s from the ELVIS soundtrack and only mentions Vegas once, but for all the Hip-Hop/R&B fans, here’s a cool one to perform. It’s Doja Cat, how can you go wrong?
